A variable species, under low light (like in northern Europe) the plants are often greenish in colour, by me they are beige or greyish.
L. herrei is not a very glamorous species but I think its important that we grow them. Due to the ongoing crippling draught in the region where these naturally occur, this species is becoming exceedingly rare and many of the known localities have already been lost. Conservation through propagation definitely has its merits.
